Delete your ExpoGuest data
Last updated: October 5, 2026
ExpoGuest is developed by Joe Whyte under Cats With Thumbs Productions. You do not create an ExpoGuest account. Your event records, financial entries, contacts, photographs, and attachments are stored locally on your device, so you control their deletion there.
Delete records on your device
To delete an event, open its event-management controls, choose the permanent delete option, and confirm Delete This Event. This removes that event's database records, including contacts, travel details, sales, expenses, and notes. The app also attempts to remove its associated saved photographs, contracts, and travel receipts. Archiving keeps the records and does not delete them.
To delete a connection, open that connection and choose Delete. This removes its contact record and saved photographs. Detached files or temporary exports may remain in app storage until you clear all app data.
Remove all local ExpoGuest data
On Android, open Settings → Apps → ExpoGuest → Storage (or Storage & cache) → Clear storage / Clear data, and confirm. Menu names vary by phone. This permanently removes the app's local records and files.
On iPhone, open Settings → General → iPhone Storage → ExpoGuest → Delete App, then confirm. Use Delete App rather than Offload App, which preserves app data. Reinstalling or restoring a device backup may restore previously backed-up data.
Save any records you want to keep before deleting. We cannot recover deleted local information or remotely erase records on your device.
Delete exported files, backups, and calendar entries separately
Deleting information in ExpoGuest does not delete copies you previously exported, emailed, printed, shared, or saved in another app. Remove those files in Files, Downloads, email, or the storage service you used. Remove backed-up copies using your device or cloud backup provider's controls. Calendar entries exported from ExpoGuest must also be removed in your calendar app if you want them deleted.
Recipients and other service providers control their own copies. Contact them directly if you need those copies deleted. Full private backups can include financial records, travel information, contacts, contracts, receipts, photographs, and private notes.
Request deletion of information we hold
Email [email protected] with the subject ExpoGuest data deletion request. Use the email address you previously contacted us from where possible, and describe what you want deleted, such as support messages and attachments. Please do not send your event database, financial records, identity documents, or photographs just to make a deletion request.
We will review your request, may ask for limited information needed to identify the relevant correspondence or verify the request, and respond about its outcome. Eligible support messages and attachments will be deleted. Records necessary for an unresolved support issue or a legal obligation may be retained for as long as that purpose requires; we will explain any applicable exception in our response. We do not promise a fixed deletion deadline or an automatic 90-day deletion schedule.
Our place-search handlers do not store a history of your searches in an application database. Expo and Google may process requests and retain operational information under their own policies. We cannot promise to erase provider-controlled logs or copies held by other services through an email request to us.
We do not hold a remotely accessible copy of your local event or financial database. A deletion request to us does not clear your phone; follow the device instructions above for that information.
